The lifestyle that we provide each resident is akin to the comfort of the finest homes. Our team is so very proud of the quality of experience and lifestyle we deliver on the promise to our residents.

OUR HISTORY

Our portfolio of residences has been under the same ownership and management for over a century. New York City has evolved and WAM Partners has maintained a commitment to exceed all standards of excellence. Personal care to the detail of each building, each residence, and management methods distinguishes our company from the impersonal style too often associated with living in our wonderful city. In a world of experience, our family and the standards of our executive and operating teams have met the challenges of history since 1919, creating an advantage exhibited in our management, work, and relationships.

OUR BUILDING PORTFOLIO

Our portfolio of Pre-War buildings is technically and aesthetically state of the art luxury, setting a standard of unmatched excellence.

It has been under the same family owner and management across four generations. These buildings built between 1904 and 1926 reflect nothing less than the evolution of the quintessential urban apartment building design. The Wyoming, built in 1904, incorporates the architectural, engineering, and social innovations of the 19th Century. Its scale was intended to compete with the large mansions of its day with comparable interior ornamentation. As Manhattan became denser, apartment scale adjusted along with exterior decorative style. Drawing from the palace form of Florence, Italy, dating back to the great Palladian architecture known as the “palazzo,” the greatest architects moved from the grand French Beaux-Arts Parisienne style to a new grand standard more angular and efficient in its use of the spatial envelope. The end result we see in the boulevards of Park Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Madison Avenue, Central Park West, Riverside Drive, and West End Avenue.

From 1904 post 19th Century to 1920, architectural style evolved to meet an ever-modernizing city and world. Buildings retained their architectural solidity while adjusting to an ever more mobile and dynamic population. As such, our buildings have superb representations of six bedroom to studio apartments, each providing impeccable comfort for our designated residents. We curate our portfolio to the highest standards of historic preservation in our effort to maintain the continuity.
