AlgiPharma has developed alternative technologies in medicine. The company is a clinical stage pharmaceutical company aiming to address unmet medical needs and fight diseases effectively through its innovative alginate oligomer technologies.
We advised the senior management and ownership of AlgiPharma on the repurposing of their OlioG Cystic Fibrosis drug for therapeutic application against Covid-19 – the coronavirus.
Oo VENTURES + ALGIPHARMA
Ideation identified the application towards normalizing mucus in the lungs, enhancing the respiratory environment, thereby in conjunction with antibodies and the cleaning of pneumococcal bacteria mitigating the natural immune response associated with cytokine storms in Covid-19 patients. The resulting mitigation reduces the inflammation which destroys the 2,000 miles of respiratory pathways in the lungs, ultimately at the exact point of the oxygen gas exchange into the bloodstream. Oo Ventures introduced AlgiPharma to White House officials, the leaders of Operation Warp Speed, and the Vice President’s Covid-19 Task Force and its founder who helped AlgiPharma navigate the FDA, NIH, and BARTA for the purpose of submitting their drug for Covid-19 clinical trials. The FDA meetings were successful and the OlioG drug application was submitted, questions returned which are currently being responded to with hopeful clinical trial approval in the near term. Leading U.S. Universities and hospital partnerships were established along with leading law firms in Washington, D.C, New York, Boston and Silicon Valley.
MEDICIRCLE
MediCircle collects leftover oral chemotherapeutics, ensures the medicine’s quality, and redistributes it to those in need. Their advanced technology allows us to offer a safe, low-cost alternative to disposal. They create significant savings for patients, insurance companies, and healthcare facilities, all while improving the health of our local communities.
We provide strategic advisory to MediCircle, a startup founded by two Brown University students, that is dedicated to providing affordable cancer care through a sustainable redistribution model.
